Well I am not on T and I haven’t had top surgery; I’m not sure what I identify as but I am definitely masculine of center. And I feel like I am seen as male in some situations, but not ‘male enough’ to go into men’s dressing rooms/ rest...

inspector-pervert asked: heyyy, um, sorry if this is invasive in any way, but how do you navigate the changing rooms and stuff at the gym?

it's always awkward because when i go to the gym i walk into the women's locker room and quite a few times some guys have followed me in because they saw me and my mohawk and were like, oh, a dude. plus when i'm inside i feel like i'm a creeper and...

boygirlboigrrrl: While I was sitting in the court room, bored and also on edge and waiting for my name to be called, I realized something I hadn’t really thought about before: Changing my name is my entire transition. Woah, right? As a non-medical transperson, I don’t think of myself as really having steps or a process to my transition. I don’t think of myself as really in transition,...

I can’t get over how realistic this looks. It’s out of my price range and honestly a little too large for my preferred soft packer size, but…wow.

DIY Rope Harness
Check out this DIY tutorial on how to make a cock harness out of a 30 feet of solid braid nylon. I have not personally tried this, but I hope it can be helpful for those who are in need of an inexpensive harness.

Not really TMI, but...
I have been trying to establish some form of a workout routine for over two years. I feel like I am finally getting close to achieving that goal, but there’s one issue that I’ve been concerned about: exercises which work out the pectoral muscles. Out of fear of creating more mass on my chest, I have always avoided exercises which predominantly work the pectoral muscles. By this...

Anonymous asked: Not really a question...well, there might be a question at the end. I'm a trans guy living about 45 min from Manhattan by car. I saw your intro youtube video and you said that your dose was considered a "low dose." The doctor I have been going to set me up with the same dose and considered it a normal dose. I'm at 2 months instead of 3 and have had practically no changes (hair...

Uncle Flo discussion below the “Read More” link. I haven’t had a visit from Uncle Flo since October. This has been pleasant and exciting, even though dealing with him wasn’t a huge problem for me. Anyway, two days ago, I noticed that there was some very, very light brown discoloration on the toilet paper after some front-end wiping. I also experienced this yesterday, but...

Sundance Film Festival 2011: Becoming Chaz
Chaz Bono was a male trapped in a female shell for as long as he can remember. Growing up as Sonny and Cher’s adorable golden-haired daughter in a body he felt wasn’t his own was a crucible it took years to transcend. Now, as he undertakes gender reassignment, he’s bravely decided to share the process on camera. Becoming Chaz invites us along on Chaz’s remarkable journey of transformation. As...

Hey Jay - Some people choose to try transitioning “naturally” via supplements and exercise and without injected testosterone or testosterone creams. It seems like the results vary for people; some people experiences subtle masculinizing effects, while others may only experience what are usually considered negative side effects (greasy skin and acne). Check out my posts tagged as...

Eyelashes
I meant to make an update this about a while ago, but I have found that my eyelashes do indeed grow back after I trim them. Before I took an initial chop at them, I went Googling like crazy to see if eyelashes were things that would grow back, or whether I would be stuck with asymmetrical eyelashes if I made a mistake while trimming them. There were mixed answers on Google, but at least in my...

No shot pain?
Today was my second weekly (as opposed to bi-weekly) shot of 20mg. During the injection, I felt absolutely no pain and was kind of surprised. My shots are never very painful, but there’s always a little bit of a sting. If there’s no pain, does that mean that the shot was done incorrectly?

I’ve definitely heard of quite a few people pursuing top surgery without taking T. Some people get top surgery before deciding to go on T, and others get top surgery without having any desire to go on T. Different strokes for different folks :) I would tell your friend to just try to do what’s most comfortable for him while trying not to let other people’s judgmental views bring...

Transmasculine Voice Workshop Review
On Monday, I attended the transmasculine voice workshop in NYC. This was the first workshop and I wasn’t sure what to expect. When I walked into the room, I saw four people seated at a rectangular table, one of them being Christie Block, the speech-language pathologist who was going to run the meeting. We started off with introductions and a pronoun check-in (I love being in spaces that...

Since my shot on Sunday, my voice has been sounding a bit lower again. The January 2nd shot plus the January 9th shot gave me a total of 50mg for two weeks, which is the dose I was on until December 4th, This time, it was given to me over two shots instead of one. Judging by my results from last month’s dose decrease, I guess I can assume that 30mg every other week doesn’t cause me to...

I was wondering how much growth you've gotten even...
Hmm - I’m trying to think of a good analogy for this. Well, imagine something the size of hulled sunflower seed becoming the size of a garbanzo bean - that’s kind of what has happened so far. I have wondered if the growth I have so far is enough for metoidioplasty. Most surgeons recommend being on T for 2 or more years before meta, and some additionally recommend pumping and putting...

I don't want top surgery, but I want smaller boobs...
I have heard of some genderqueer folks getting a reduction rather than top surgery, but I’m not sure what size their chests were originally. I can’t imagine such a thing would matter to the surgeon; I’ve never heard of someone being “too small” for a reduction. My thoughts on this are to try to do what’s most comfortable for you, even if you haven’t heard...

Hey Leo, have you experimented much with pumping...
I did a few years ago, before I was on T. I used a syringe that I cut the tip off of and filed the sharp edges off of. It was kind of an interesting sensation and experience, but I only did it a few times. If there was more evidence proving that it definitely caused long-term growth, I think it would be something I would do more often. I haven’t pumped since being on T. I would like to try...

Anonymous asked: Leo,

You've been an incredible source of information and help to the community, but I have a question which may be too much to let out to the world. I have dared not speak a word of it to anyone because it's very uncomfortable to think about. I've been dating a male-bodied gay man for about 11 months. We have a great relationship and I really have feelings for him,...

6 months on T
Yesterday, January 8th, marked 6 months on T. Since I lowered my dose to 30mg every other week on December 4th, the pace of the changes I have been experiencing slowed down greatly and/or stopped. My facial fuzz is coming in slower and I don’t think my voice has deepened at all this past month - in fact, it may have reverted a tiny bit. Zits and pimples have lessened, as has my sex drive....

Re: My Thigh Picture
boygirlboigrrrl replied to your photo: Pre-T left thigh versus 6 months on T left thigh…. I am so confused by this angle. is this the back of your thigh upside down? Good question. It’s the underside of my thigh, with my out-of-frame butt being at the bottom of the photo and the  out-of-frame underside of my knees being at the top.

Someone on the Livejournal FTM community made a post asking about whether it’s possible to go on T just for the voice drop, and then discontinue taking T. There have been quite a few replies, and I thought this response in particular is a helpful one to share: “Just a word of caution since you do live in a small town and the doc maybe all “WTF” as you [talk] about you...

What are your workouts at the gym?
I’ve been trying to stick to a few regular ones lately. I work my biceps and triceps primarily on one day and then my shoulders and forearms the next day or one day later. I exercise my abdominal muscles every other day. I do not do all of these specific exercises in one day; I try to vary it a little bit and maybe stick to 3-4 exercises for each muscle. Here’s what I tend to pick...
