Sans Labels
I’m having one of those days in which I want to discard every label I’ve ever adopted to describe myself and instead state that I am a female-assigned-at-birth person who feels most comfortable when my dominant sex hormone is testosterone.

Why don't you go-go dance? Would your gf mind?
I would go-go dance if I actually knew how to dance. My girlfriend actually kind of wants me to pursue go-go dancing so we could have an additional source of income, haha. Ask me anything

Product Review: First Mate
I think I have a new favorite cock. When I saw that Babeland was carrying a new realistic silicone cock, First Mate, under its Gender Expression section, I knew that I had to meet it in person. On my computer screen, it looked very appealing, but I needed to give it a hands-on assessment before making the decision to purchase it. After getting a hold of First Mate at Babeland, it only took me...

Pee-cock Reviews
A few months ago, I made a post about the Pee-cock Prosthetic, a new pack, pee, and play prosthetic on the market. At the time, there were no reviews for the product. However, my friend found a thread on Facebook, in which people were offering their opinions and reviews of the Peecock. This is what people have said so far: 1) “I like it. The material is firmer then my other packer (which is...

The Packer Showdown at Transguys.com provides extensive reviews of a couple of popular soft packers and is very thorough and informative. Also, if you search for “packer review” on Youtube, there are some great reviews that come up in the results. Ask me anything

Natural Transitioning
butchrag: I run a blog about “natural transitioning”, namely taking natural testosterone supplements, weight training, and changing eating habits to foods that are high in protein and testosterone. There’s now a couple of guys contributing their experiences. I think it’s a good option to look into for people that are waiting to get on T or have decided not to take it for whatever reason. Check...

Go Babeland!
Babeland now has a specific section on their website entitled “Gender Expression” that features all of their awesome gear for gender non-conforming folks . I’m a bit disappointed, however, that there doesn’t appear to be any gear for people on the transfeminine spectrum. It would be great if they could carry some specific toys catering toward that population as well as...

Oral Resonance and Gender Perception
Since I’ve made a few posts about voice and gender lately, I thought I’d dig up an excerpt from a literature review paper I wrote for my Research Methods course a few years ago about voice influencing the gender perception of transfeminine people: Since Mount and Salmon’s study, oral resonance and the perception of femininity in MTFs has been researched more extensively (Gelfer &...

midnightmedicine asked: That's a really interesting analysis of Chris Colfer's voice. I was not even aware of charts like that indicating where the average female/male range lies.

I'm rather obsessed with Chris Colfer (and Glee, in general), so I've watched nearly every interview with Chris. And he has made little jokes in a few interviews about people over the phone calling him...

I Haven't Always Known
I haven’t always known that I was trans*. Yet, because of the heavily reinforced “typical” narratives of transgender people in mainstream media, there is an assumption that if you identify as such, you have known so since a very young age. We all come to these realizations at different times in our lives; there is no certain ripe time interval in which you must figure out your...

Due to not having cable, I have been unable to watch “Becoming Chaz” and create a response/review post on here. From the buzz I’ve seen on Tumblr and Facebook, it seems like people were not very pleased with the documentary. I’m going to try to have a friend of mine with cable record it for me.

I’ve only been on the cream for two weeks and one day so it’s kind of difficult to determine that, but so far it does seem to be compatible. My voice is starting to crack a little again. Ask me anything

Does the cream allow you to continue on a low dose...
The dose I’m on (2.5mg daily) allows me to continue being on a low dose of testosterone. The typical dose for the cream is somewhere between 5mg and 10mg daily (as stated in Hormones: A Guide for FTMs), but I have heard of other people being on 2.5mg daily. Ask me anything

More on Chris Colfer's (Glee) Voice
I was sent an excerpt from an interview with Chris Colfer that included a question about his voice. “When did you discover that you had this amazingly high vocal range? Has your voice changed? I think this is just the way it’s going to be. I’ve definitely made jokes over the years about how my voice has never changed, countless one-liners. But to be honest, I think I might have done it...

liveeverything asked: Could you do a post or video about what changed and what remained the same after coming off of low dose T? I am about to go on low dose T for a few months as a partial transition, and I am just curious to know what I can expect to stay with me once I stop. I am particularly interested in whether the effects of the downstairs growth and increased libido remain. Any insight would be much help....

traslucido asked: Hi Leo! I was wondering about your own experience with voice changes on T. Do you feel like you have to modify your own speech habits to accommodate your changing vocal folds? (sorry if those aren't the right terms; hopefully you'll understand what I mean)

I've been on T (medium dose) for nine months, so most of my voice changes happened a while ago. But a month ago...

Testosterone Cream Update
I took my first dose of testosterone cream on Friday. My dose is 2.5 grams daily, which is half of what seems to be considered the typical dose (5 grams). I’m going to be writing a review of the compounding pharmacy I used and taking of video of how I dispense the cream and apply it later this week.

Chris Colfer's (Glee) Voice
I’m interested in the human speaking voice and how it is perceived in relation to gender. MC likes to watch Glee and sometimes I’m in the bedroom using my computer while she’s viewing it. On one of those occasions, I heard a somewhat gender ambiguous voice coming through the television speakers. MC explained to me that the character’s name was Kurt (Chris Colfer) and that...
